Lover’s Tryst

What is this that counts not the hours?
Ah, a lover’s tryst in secret garden lanes
Eyes gazing back and a fullness rises
Bringing tears and trembling smiles


The roses blush beside them
Bodies, hearts, minds and souls touch
Raging fires to be soon quenched
In some quiet place in the sun

Content at last to close their eyes
Breathing in soft sound breaths
In and out, warm, round and full
Now calmed repose of love resolves

Where there is no earth or sky
No timely seconds or hours
Only the warmth of each other
Cooled by the summer breeze

Y'know, for people who want poems written to their loved ones or letters and things.
There's more and more of these posts beings created here in France.
