Mother Ocean, Father Sea
Where are thy currents taking me?
Beneath those depths to wondrous night,
Below the warmth, below the light.


Unknown worlds and denizens
Bizarre, horrific citizens
Frigid womb cradles the earth
Frightening, yet beyond all worth

I journey there in silent quest
To wake the whales as they rest
Ride the dolphin’s glowing wake
Watch roaring tides beyond the quake

I rest in sands to warm my skin
As all the sea becomes my kin
Calmer now where sea meets shore
I stand there ever wanting more
