A Few Things
There are some things I won’t leave behind
The breeze as it wafts through the curtains
The smell of fresh mown grass
The sound of children laughing
The touch of a loving hand
There are some things I will not forget
That no matter what, you must have hope
Our reality is a reflection of our beliefs
How it feels to be truly loved
That you believe in me
There are a few things I want to do
Understand the true meaning of friend
Be the answer to someone’s prayer
Find that light that connects us all
Find true peace within myself
Best of all, I want us all to learn
That love is the real power of change
Fear is the true opposite of love
We are here for each other
That no one can do it alone
