A festival of lights, which the hindus surround their homes with brightly lite clay deyas.
families, friends and passersby are all welcome to this auspicious occassion. Food and sweets are freely given..... Kids love to light there starlights just to see the spark that twinkles in this blazing stick they even help put oils in the deyas just to see the fire wake and shine over their tiny feets

In Trinidad the hindu community celebrates Divali, but people of other religious beliefs also participate in this national festival. Devotional/chants, dancing and music is played bringing a cosmic/cloud of goodwill air to this awesome feast of lights.
