[[(have you ever thought of publishing a book ? I know you like your blog ... but so many people who don't have a comp and who would love to read you !! )]] What, are you telling me there is a life outside of blogging? No!! Hehehe! Yes I have thought of publishing books. I once had a dream of becoming an award-winning writer. Funnily enough, my blogs were nominated last year for a peace award but I didn't fancy coming out to face the public so I declined. It didn't feel right. Dreams have a funny way of coming true though. I will think about it though. At least the main thing is I've sorted out all my writings in alpha order so that's a start. Cheers, love, EJ 18 Jul 2006 @ 13:57 by scotty : award ! doesn't surprise me in the least that your blogs were nominated - doesn't surprise me either that you declined it : ) A book - yes DO think about it - some people (like me for instance) can't sit for very long periods in front of their screen reading ... some people (again like me for instance) LOVE reading in bed ... and I can't think of better material to read than one of your books before popping off to the world of dreams .. and live that 'other' reality !!! ((hugs )) 18 Jul 2006 @ 15:00 by vector8 : You have a point, Chris... ...given that I spend half of my time in libraries I appreciate the value of books. And I also love reading in bed. I think it is time. I'll trust in the Light to manifest the right publisher. Watch this space. By the way have you moved to France yet? I have another friend who is about to buy a property and move to Aquitaine. Loving you. EJ 18 Jul 2006 @ 16:19 by scotty : Aquitaine eh a lovely part of the country !! We'll be quite far apart though as JoƩlle and I hope to be moving to Draguignon in the Var (just above Cannes et St Tropez) Won't be for another four years yet though - unless of course we win the lottery - and then you'll be able to visit your friend in the south west and us in the south east-ish !! re a publisher - have you checked out {http://www.oneworld-publications.com/} and {http://www.libertiespress.com/submissions.html} or maybe even self publishing {http://www.iuniverse.com/} oops - almost forgot ... {http://www.shambhala.com/html/about/history.cfm} . 19 Jul 2006 @ 09:14 by vector8 : Draguignon Sounds lovely. Just see yourself living there and the rest will take care of itself. Thanks for the links, Chris. Funny, as soon as I read them I got a feeling of resistance i.e. everything that comes with publishing. I used to study "The Writers and Artists Yearbook" avidly to see what's what and who's who in the publishing industry. I've always said that if I ever get my work in book format, it will have to be my way or the highway. Self-publishing is my cup of tea. I've also had an idea about a friend http://www.spiritandflesh.net/ who has published his own books and he said when I'm ready he could help me. That's another option. One important question I must consider. As I'm so geared for writing for the Internet, how would I cope with links. Hahaha. It's all good, really. Trust me, I'm a blogger. :-) Have a good day, gorgeous.
