Once your organized maybe, you could get some kind of icon button on the main NCN splash page, that would take people directly to your sumit location. The workgoup area has a space for recomended links and files, so would be easy to list your affiliated websites. Then crosslinking your your affiliates, make sure they all have an icon to click on to the public access part of your project, try and stick to 2 word discriptions, so as google and other searchs will pick it up more directly. You can easily mass email to your affiliates thru a workgroup. I think also people can log into your workgroup with out having to log in as a member of NCN. Have fun creating. :} 10 Nov 2005 @ 21:16 by vaxen : we... do not need any ''leaders.'' in fact the best suggestion, where leaders are concerned, is...shoot them! 11 Nov 2005 @ 18:19 by ming : Leaders Well, the old-fashioned way of doing it would be to sway a number of important opinion leaders to your cause. People who run organizations and who have audiences. And if they speak for it, lots of people listen, and something might happen quickly. It would be much nicer if that weren't necessary. If it could be completely a grass-roots venture, where the meme just spreads, and lots of folks support it, and a summit thing and some more organization would become inevitable. Either way, none of that is easy. I've certainly learned that it isn't enough to make an inspiring manifesto and open some discussion forums. That might be a great start. But the hard part is then how to grow that into a worldwide movement that actually works, that has some kind of coherent fabric, and that will make a difference. Like, if the core of it is too vague, people might not know what they're actually collaborating on. If people join up, but they have different ideas and expectations on what is supposed to be done, then what? And is there a sufficiently dedicated and capable core group of people who will carry it through to its destination? At some earlier point I concluded that it might be a viable path to gather a relatively small group of 'leaders' who would work together in compiling a much more comprehensive body of work on what a new civilization is or should be. A few inspiring statements isn't enough. You need a whole dossier, a lot of supporting material, a lot of strategies, a lot of expertise. And then you might possibly stand together and make a case to the world for why we should be doing something new, and how we ought to do it. It would be a fulltime job for some group of people. Not something one easily can do in one's sparetime with a bit of inspired writing. Contacting world leaders and suggesting a summit before one has one's cards in order might be premature. Doing it before one has some fairly extensive grassroots support, rather than just a few individuals, might also be premature. Bigshot world leaders are busy, and unless you're already one of them, you probably won't get far with a few inspiring vision statements. The opportunity might be squandered, if one doesn't have a whole bunch of stuff lined up before. So, the question might be how one starts a grassroots movement towards a new civilization. Or maybe how one turns some existing scattered efforts and a loose network of generally supporting individuals into a truly viable movement with a global impact. 11 Nov 2005 @ 22:08 by vaxen : Hub... and so many others have started these ''grassroots'' movements oh so many times over the very long course of homo-sap history yet...life, itself, at core keeps going on and on and on as so called ''civilizations,'' (civil=city based) come one after the other in rampant order to kill maim destroy and... Start, change, stop... Touch that wall. Thankyou. 5 Dec 2007 @ 15:46 by srinivas gupta @122.169.140.193 : job hai sir this is srinivas i am serching for job so giudence for me sir if u dont mind sir i am requesting sir give me sajeson Other entries in Articles 24 Apr 2013 @ 11:33: Let there be on Earth: Peace!
