Green architecture, bold visions

Hello NCN friends!

I've been dreaming about living in a more ecological environment, in
buildings where technology is used to make the best use of all waste
products and store/produce engergy.

In my dreams I tend to think about buildings partly covered with
soil, having areas where light is allowed to flow into the house from
the roof and sides. I think of the use of streams of water, small
ponds, maybe a waterfall or a fountain, to circulate the water, give
it fresh oxygen and at the same time providing a relaxing
environment.

I'd clearly appreciate having the possibility to keep my computer, or
maybe use a more advanced house with a speach-driven interface.
At the same time I feel the need for using just as much, or as little,
technology as needed to provide with heat, food, water and
communications.

Is anyone of you out there interested in studying how we can design
new ways of housing/living. I'd be glad to be able to discuss and try
your visions as well. Maybe, we can find something that can be
implemented in our own homes without having to rebuild them
completely - or we will find reasons to rebuild them...

Happily awaiting your answers,
Gšran Johansson
