An excerpt from the Aztec calendar stone.
The outer ring, the image of the previous entry,
illustrates the movements of Venus-Quetzalcoatl
and the other visible planets;
while this circle provides a means of counting the days of the solar and lunar
cycle. I don't know exactly how it works. I just remember that bit of information from some reading from a long time ago.
I suspect there's quite a bit of information embedded in this complex design.
I drew it in black and white as a means of visually studying it,
and later colored it in with Photoshop with my own sense for color.
